Calm in the Face of Crisis: Making it Through the Coronavirus

In these times of uncertainty, we wanted to reach out and reassure you of some certainties, and to remind you that we’re all in this together. The Coronavirus situation is already hitting small businesses like yours – we know because we are also salon owners. This is a time to come together, to strengthen the bonds of community, and to rise to the challenge.

We take our commitment to you seriously. We are here for you. In that spirit, here are a few helpful reminders and resources as you navigate the days ahead:

  1. SalonTarget exists in the cloud. You can access it securely from anywhere you can connect to the internet. This means it never stops working for you, regardless of any forced closures or shut downs. If your salon or spa is forced to close for a small period of time, use this time to better familiarize yourself with SalonTarget. Run those reports you’ve put off. Plan a re-open marketing strategy.
  2. As a cloud-based company, SalonTarget is capable of and committed to providing effective support to our customers throughout this situation, while complying with government regulations in an effort to keep our employees and their contacts healthy.
  3. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. The Small Business Association recently issued a press release about providing disaster assistance loans to businesses affected by the Coronavirus. The federal government announced an $850 billion economic stimulus package with cash payments to Americans. Check your state’s website as well for other business help and to receive accurate information about Coronavirus. Stay informed!
  4. SalonToday has been proactive about providing tips and posts on it making through the Coronavirus. Here are a couple we suggest looking into:

Lastly, here is a message from Annemarie Masciarelli, co-owner of La Novita Salon and wife of SalonTarget founder Anthony Masciarelli:

This virus isn’t meant to stop us from living. It’s meant to remind us how to live! What we do is unlike any other business. We can take the worst day and with the wave of our blow dryer magically make it fade into something better. We are the day makers who, no matter what, will remain steadfast (with the cleanest hands btw) and ready to step up – in the face of insurmountable odds – to keep the world beautiful one extraordinary guest at a time. Stay smart, wash your hands, stay home if you’re sick. One day and one guest at a time. We are here. Take care of yourself and your guests, inside and out. The world will follow. ❤️❤️
